Hybrid

Overview

Zytek has been leading the way in Hybrid Technologies since 1999 when
it produced a hybrid system to power the Panoz Q9 Sportscar.
In 2009, Zytek developed the Q10 system which ran in its own sportscar,
fitted with the ZJ458 4.5-Litre engine. This system, although based on road
car technology as mandated by the regulations, proved to be successful
immediately finishing on the podium on its debut.

Zytek is in the process of developing a new bespoke racing hybrid system
for 2011, designated ZPH. Unlike the Q10 system, ZPH will not rely on
existing road car technology which will enable it to be significantly more
efficient than the Q10 system. ZPH will be available for a number of
platforms in the future, including one make formulae.
