Yutaka Hiwatari

R&D Senior Engineer

Yutaka spent nearly 20 years of his engineering career working in Japan.
His fi rst role was as engine development engineer for Mugen, working on
the Japanese F2 and F3000 Championship. From 1991-1995 Yutaka took on
the role of Chief Engineer at Zaus Company Ltd, working on engine
development for the All Japan Super bike and F3000 Championships.
He then moved on to Yajima Industry Company Ltd as R&D group manager
in 1995, concentrating on engine development for Subaru for the Japan
Touring Car Championship, as well as cylinder head development for
Yamaha F1.

In June 2000 Yutaka joined Zytek, having known the company since 1986
when Honda used the Zytek ECU for the Japanese F3000. His work has
been concentrated on the LMP engines and A1GP as senior R&D engineer.
He specializes in airfl ow testing, engine dyno testing and provides race
track support worldwide.
